Adam Llewellyn

Principal Dentist

Originating from Bridgend, Dr Adam Llewellyn gained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Hons) degree from Cardiff University.

He completed his postgraduate vocational training at a mixed NHS and Private practice in Swansea. He then worked for a couple of years in Aberystwyth while also setting up and winning awards with Pont Steffan Dental Practice, Lampeter. He is now concentrating entirely on Llandeilo and Llandovery Dental Practices whilst living between the two.

Adam is a practice trainer for dental therapists and is Denplan Excel accredited.

Outside work Adam is a qualified ski instructor, marathon runner and enjoys paramotoring.  

Tom Bysouth

Associate Dental Surgeon

Born in Swansea and raised and educated in Rutland, Tom gained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Hons) from Cardiff University in 2009. Following qualification Tom worked in a variety of hospital positions at the University Dental Hospital, Cardiff before entering general practice in Aberdare and then Swansea. In May 2011 Tom completed the Diploma of Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and in November 2015 completed the Diploma in Dental Postgraduate Studies at the University of Bristol.

Tom is a member of the General Dental Practitioners Committee and Young Dentists Committee of the British Dental Association and has previously sat on the Local Dental Committees of Bro Taf and Bro Morgannwg, whilst presently being a member of Dyfed Powys LDC. Tom enjoys all aspects of general practice and looks forward to providing care to all generations.

Tom is a member of the British Society for Dental Sleep Medicine and has undertaken training to provide anti snoring devices. He is also a certified provider of Cerezen devices. Tom has undertaking additional training to be able to provide short term orthodontic treatment to adults.

Outside of the surgery Tom is an avid fan of Cricket and outdoor fitness.

Catherine Nelson

Associate Dentist

Catherine gained her BDS degree from Birmingham University in 1995. After working in a variety of practice and hospital jobs around the West Midlands, she set up her own practice in Ludlow, Shropshire where she remained for fifteen years. She joined us part time in 2016 after relocating to Llandovery.

In 2011, Catherine completed an MSc in Primary dental care with the FGDP in Kent University. This included clinical, leadership and management and healthcare educational components.

As well as woking in general dental practice, Catherine also works in healthcare education, currently looking after dentists in the West Midlands in their first year after qualifying.

Catherine enjoys spending time outside of work with her husband and three sons. Favourite things for rest and relaxation are music, food & wine, mountains and gardens!

Mari Llewelyn Roberts

Dental Therapist & Hygienist

Mari hails from the Llŷn Peninsula then went on to study at Cardiff University where she won the paediatrics award in her final year. She is a Welsh speaker and currently living with her boyfriend and dog in Aberystwyth.

Lyndsey Jenkins

Dental Hygienist
GDC : 6338

Lyndsey went to school in Carmarthen and then qualified as a Dental Technician in 2001 and as a Dental Hygienist in 2003 from Cardiff University. She has worked in private and NHS practices in Bristol, Chepstow, and Swansea before returning to Carmarthen.

Lyndsey is a Welsh speaker and in her spare time enjoys running, circuits, eating out and exploring the countryside with her family. 

Lee Walker

Dental Hygienist

Lee qualified as a Dental Hygienist at the School of Dental Hygiene, Hampshire in 1997. During the last 18 years, he as gained valuable experience in working in all sectors of the dental populace. His keen interest is in the treatment of chronic and acute gingival conditions.

Lee has been living in Wales for ten years and has been working in Llandeilo for over eight years. Outside of work he enjoys cycling, reading, photography, walking his dog and dancing!

Menna Cooper

GDC Registered Senior Dental Nurse

GDC : 128135

Menna has been a dental nurse for 35 years. She qualified as a dental nurse in 1988, as Oral Health Educator in 1990 and gained a certificate in Dental Radiography from Bristol in 1995. She taught as a Dental Nurse Tutor for 12 years whilst also organising various courses for The Dental Profession. Menna is a fluent Welsh speaker and her interests revolve around her family, reading, gardening and cruise holidays.

Rosemary Squires

Rose is our longest serving member of staff, having been working at our surgery for 32 years. Although she qualified as a dental nurse in 1988, she now works as our receptionist. Rose is a fluent Welsh speaker and lists cooking as one of her hobbies.

Catrin Haf Jones

Trainee Dental Nurse

Catrin was a qualified hairdresser for six years before she decided on a change in career and following something she has always wanted to do.

Catrin is a fluent welsh speaker and in her spare time she enjoys keeping fit, eating out and spending time with the family.

Kimberley Ashman

Dental Nurse

Kim previously worked in retail management before deciding to pursue a career within dentistry. Outside work, Kim is a keen photographer and enjoys exploring the wonderful Welsh coast with her partner and pet dog.

Charlotte Griffiths

Dental Nurse

Charliy has been dental nursing since 2014 and joined our team in February 2016. Originally from Oxford and now living in Llandeilo, she enjoys keeping fit. With any spare time, she likes to help out on her parents sheep farm. 

Laura Mason

Dental Nurse

Laura joined the practice in October 2016 having moved from North Wales. She qualified in 2008. She enjoys walking her jack russell Roxy, spending time with her partner and taking on large DIY projects!
