Tom Bysouth

Born in Swansea and raised and educated in Rutland, Tom gained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Hons) from Cardiff University in 2009. Following qualification Tom worked in a variety of hospital positions at the University Dental Hospital, Cardiff before entering general practice in Aberdare and then Swansea. In May 2011 Tom completed the Diploma of Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and in November 2015 completed the Diploma in Dental Postgraduate Studies at the University of Bristol. Most recently he gained a PGCME (Postgraduate Certificate of Medical Education) from Cardiff University in 2018.

Tom is currently chairman of the Welsh General Dental Practice Committee at the British Dental Association as is secretary of Dyfed Powys Local Dental Committee. Tom enjoys all aspects of general practice and looks forward to providing care to all generations. He is also a registered provider of Cerezen devices, a novel approach in the management of temporomandibular joint dysfunction. He has also been selected as a mentor and trainer of newly qualified dentists, guiding them through their first year after graduation.

Outside of the surgery Tom is an avid fan of Cricket and outdoor fitness – and is always looking to improve his 5k time.
